Senior Pastor
Pastor Brad Starcher and his wife Laurie came to us by way of Greenbrier County in the fall of 2018. Brad is co-vocational, sharing his time between the church and teaching at New River Community and Technical College in Ghent. Laurie works for MSHA, helping to make the mining industry safer for our workers. Together, Brad and Laurie have two adult children:
– Ethan, senior pastor at First Baptist Mannington, WV and his wife Kendra
– Kayla, an Administrative Assistant at the West Virginia Baptist Convention office in Parkersburg, and is actively working in the middle school ministry at her church.
Associate Pastor
Pastor Eugene Hazelwood and his wife Brenda made themselves available to the church when Pastor Charlie Rice passed away suddenly in 2016. Pastor Gene preached faithfully until Pastor Brad was hired in 2018. Sadly, his wife Brenda went to be with the Lord in the fall of 2022. Gene continues to faithfully preach and teach, and helps to lead our visitation program.
Youth Pastor
Youth Pastor Jason Reed, together with his wife Beth, faithfully lead our Wednesday evening youth ministry and Sunday School for our middle and high school students. Their children, Brooklyn and Patrick, are still at home and are faithful to the church and their youth group.
